When the orphaned Marie is adopted by a regiment of French soldiers, laughter erupts. This heartwarming story filled with catchy tunes, two handfuls of tenor high C’s, and one energetic singing tomboy, has a happy ending when love prevails over privilege. Soprano Nili Riemer, who made Kansas City audiences swoon as Mabel in The Pirates of Penzance in 2008, plays Marie.
